When is this? The Give, Serve, Love mission week is Monday, June 12th through Thursday, June 15th.
Every day? Yes. Each day will begin with lunch at 11:30am, then we'll do service work until Mass at 5:30pm, followed by dinner and an evening program and fun that will end at 9:00pm.
Do I have to come each day? Since the days flow together as a unified whole, we ask that students and chaperones be present each day Monday through Thursday. Individual exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis.
What will we be doing? Each day will begin with lunch at St. John the Evangelist parish at 11:30am. Students will be sent out in teams with chaperones for work projects at people's houses - fixing, cleaning, raking, building, etc - and other sites around the city. We will also spend time visiting with the people we serve.
Will we be working all day? The work projects will start after lunch until 5:30pm. After working, we'll have Mass at St. Joseph parish and eat dinner, then enjoy an evening of fun, discussion, and prayer, concluding around 9:00pm.
Where will we sleep? Those who live in Ishpeming can commute each day and sleep at home. Those who live farther away can sleep in classrooms at St. John's school.
